I use a sh2 and have SKY Q 2TB  box with 3 mini boxes and have no problems connecting all of them wireless to my hub

@imjolly  Yes that is the problem most don't but there are occasions where nothing you can do to the settings on the hub help.

hello, i switch to 5ghz, all works fine

its come to my attention that i have devices that only support 2.4 ghz 

is there really no way to force my pc to connect to 5ghz with the same SSID, as i saw nothing useful with my network adaptor

You still haven't said why it is so important to connect at 5Ghz

I did, i need fast internet for certian devices as are broadband in my area is **bleep**

and long range for other devices as we have a large house

fixed it though, for some reason the only option to change it was in BIOS

5Ghz doesn't work at long range, 2.4 GHz has a greater range. Having fast WiFi won't help if your broadband is slow.
