I have just upgraded to a new BT hub and want to connect devices via a BT wifi extender 610 that I was using successfully with my old hub. However, I just get the scrolling lights indicating that the extender is searching for a signal, whatever I do, and the connection appears on my laptop as the old hub name with "no internet". I have tried using the reset button on the top, but nothing seems to change.
I have also downloaded the "device configuration tool", but the .exe file (after unzipping) seems to be corrupted and will not install.
Any help or advice would be gratefully received...
Thanks very much, Gavin

Welcome to this user forum.
Try turning Smart Setup off on the home hub.
Then reset the extender and try again.
note: The extender connects to the 2.4GHz wireless network from the home hub.
Fantastically quick reply, thank you! It took a couple of goes to get the extender to boot up properly and it didn't work with WPS, but with the back up method worked perfectly.
Thanks again, Gavin
