I have asked a mod for some help checking to see if inadvertently you have benn moved to superfast 1 for down speed.  They will post here

I have an idea it could be DLM stuck and a reset may correct it. Whatever it is the mods will get to the bottom of it.

I learned of DLM today and this could potentially be it.
As I said before, I have a lot of issues with HomeHubs dying on me, before they died they were crashing and rebooting a lot on their own.

I spot with support earlier today and they are send an engineer to the exchange within 48hrs.

They have also forwarded my case to complaints due to me having restricted speeds for so long and paying full price.

Fingers crossed, all should be resolved soon.

Pointless sending an engineer to the exchange. Wait for a mod to get back to you.

I agree with you, I believe it's one of the above reasons that's causing it.

Can't imagine this being an exchange fault that would cap a download at 50Mbps all the time for the over a year.

Any restriction is on your connection speed at 55mb not on your download speed

Hi @topleyathanks for sending in your details. I called there but missed you, I've taken over management of the fault and complaint on your account and have raised a case with our suppliers BT Wholesale to look at your broadband speed. I hope to have further updates for you tomorrow and will follow up with you then.

@topleya I called there but missed you, can you check your speed? My tests are showing a good improvement.
