I have recently got digital voice. My Smart Hub still has an ADSL filter, but is this still necessary or can I now plug the hub straight into master socket with no filter?

The filter is no longer needed, its purpose was to stop the broadband signal reaching the analogue phone.

Re: ADSL filter
The router cable will not fit into the master socket as it is the wrong size. Can I use the ADSL filter as an adapter or should I get another sort of adapter?

Re: ADSL filter
Either, or get an Rj11 to BT431 cable
