After years I got Fibre then....

@RobbieMac remember the upstream problem? VDSL did not fix it 😞

After years of terrible ADSL with upstream problem I was excited that VDSL was here. So excited, expecations set...

ADSLChecker

So I place the order for infinity 2 - all good so far

Infinity2

then I really should have known... looks like the problem is not between the cabinet and the exchange afterall

Router Stats

Guys please, if I have downstream handback of 49Mbps then the expectation of upstream between 18 and 20Mbps must clearly show the fault. Also VDSL is dropping out every day.

What will it take for BTOR to come and fix the real problem? Do I need to pay for FTTP? Help....

Re: After years I got Fibre then....

You need an engineer visit as your speed is below the minimum quoted

Mods only get involved when normal channels have failed.

Re: After years I got Fibre then....

Whats normal? I spent 1.5 hours waiting on the phone tonight then got cut off. I then called again and go through to the options team who passed me into a 30 minute queue to speak with technical who explained to me that the lack of speed was down to wireless devices attached to the router using the bandwidth.

They have placed a ?tracker or watcher or monitor? on the line and will be back in the office Thursday but advised that my speed was against recommendation and I was out of 14 days contract.

The mods here know what they are doing, they know the history of this line and whats been tried before - I would really appreciate it (and especially part of the resolution of what they picked up earlier was that this should be sorted when moving to fibre) for Robbie to make contact

Re: After years I got Fibre then....

all the mods could do is arrange an engineer which the help line is more than capable also there was nothing customer options could have done
