I have been wait ing for bt infinity for ages. A new green box was fitted 150m from my house so i was hopefull it was on its way. I keep checking but speed checkers say best i can hope for is faster broadband, 1-4meg. I dione a check on all my neigbours around me and they can gett up to 70meg! We appear to be all served by the same cabinet.
Who do i contact to follow this up?
Where are you checking?
There's an FAQ here that might help:
You might be able to get on a waitlist. Probably worth phoning up to check.
Yes i have checked them and all say i can only get 1-4meg but neigbours can get 56-70meg. I know our cables got to the same box etc. Does the database need updating? If so who does this?
have just spoken to bt and the unhelpfull lady said that its available for everyone around me but not for me. The only way i can get it is by getting a fibre cable to the exchange! How come all my neigbours around me can, i must be connected by a bit of string! What i dont understand if i pay for a new line i can only get the same speed yet if my neigbours want a new line they can get fibre on that. My cable goes through a duct and up the pole next to neighbours house!
