Another "my neighbour has FTTP, I can't get it" thread

Hi,

I share the same cabinet and pole as my neighbours.

EDIT - I FOLLOWED THE WIRING AND ACTUALLY THE HOMES AT THIS END OF THE TERRACE HAVE AN EXTRA POLE BETWEEN THEM AND THE CABINET - GUESS THIS IS THE ISSUE

They are have FTTP. It I enter my address it is not available.

If I compare the the addresses on the wholesale checker the only difference is the "FTTP Install Process" field. For my neighbours it easy "1 stage" for me it is blank. Both addresses show FTTP on Demand as available.

What can I do as an existing BT FTTC customer to find out what's happening?

Thanks

Have you tried your telephone number in the BT Wholesale checker?

I called up on the number in the thread. They said they couldn't do anything and it's just based on the data they have from openreach 🙁

Tried that and got a reply. The bad news is that the reply just said "good news we'll be upgrading your area from January 2024!". Rather odd when the majority of homes in my postcode can already order it...

It’s not that unusual for ‘retro fit’ FTTP to bring service to an area, but someone living really close by to this new network still doesn’t benefit , there will be a point where the new network reaches , and some will unfortunately be just the wrong side of that boundary, if you are lucky this FTTP ‘initial build’ that you don’t benefit from , will quickly be followed up by the ‘ultimate build’ FTTP that extends the reach of the FTTP , and you would benefit from that, well before the January 2024 date.
