I recently came across to BT Broadband from IDNet and have been seeing huge performance issues in the evenings. I'm currrently synced at 70/20 and daytime speed tests on both BTW and speedtest.net show good performance.
The evenings are a different story however. I have seen speeds around 15mb down, and certainly no higher than 20mb. I opted to not use the Smart hub, and continue to use my own equipment (Asus, good quality).
Any suggestions please? I'm really disappointed so far.

Thanks for your post and welcome!
Sorry to see you're having problems with your broadband speed in the evenings. Can you complete >> this speed test << in the evenings when you feel it's performing slowly?
Also, please post your >> Router Stats << for the benefit of the community. If you could also reply confirming what exchange you're connected to I can check for any known issues.
@FatAndAngry sorry about the delay getting back to you, there is an know congestion problem with one of the SVLAN's on the Great Yarmouth exchange that's affecting peak time speeds. I'm really sorry about the inconvenience caused by this and can confirm that BT Wholesale have a plan in place to have this fixed with an estimated repair date of 25/05/18.
Peak time speeds are definitely greatly improved. Seeing consistent download speeds of 60Meg + this evening. Still a bit impacted but certainly not 15 Meg as before. Will continue to monitor and update if any change.
