You are very lucky that you are not having any problems with the hh5 have you any idea why some peole seem to be having lots of problems and why some are ok
As Ray_dorset says there is not a problem with the HH5 per se.
It was designed to satisfy a set of parameters and does so.
The problem is, I think, that other tiers/divisions/departments 'chuck' a lot of stuff down the 'pipe line' that it was never designed for.
So when BT says that the HH5 is ok they can be telling the truth!
Unfortunately this does not help the users.
i have just read that the problem seems to be wth the type A hh5 and not type B can anyone confirm this
It is not as simple as you may think.
If you want to do a meaningful test you will need to test various scenarios.
To start with, some do not have any problem with HH5 whilst others do.
So (ie) you will need to take a HH5 from a user that does not have a problem and exchange it for the HH5 that a user with the problem has and see what happens.
Then check all combinatioins with the different cabinets etc, etc.
The thing is were do i find another hh5 that is ok because everyone i know has the same problem most of are road are using a hh5 and suffer lots of disconneting problems
I couldn't find anyone in my area.
Some while ago there was mention of the HH6, seems to have gone quiet tho'
Anybody know anything?
No HH6 due yet. Nor one in the pipeline as far as I am aware.
Most rebooting problems (by no means all) are due to a fault on the line.
Lines 1-12 from the HH's Trouleshooting/helpdesk page would help.
I thought that was the problem when they first installed infinity because there was a crackle on the line they solved this but still the same problem they said they would try a different line so now the guy 3 doors down now has a crackle on his line
