something is going on the hh5 it has now started rebooting every hour making the internet almost unuseable

One answer may be here,

 

"The issue relates to the way W8.1 performs DNS lookups, which differs from all previous versions of Windows OS. This change exposed a timing /race condition bug within some router devices firmware, and results in some webpages failing to load or dropout,"

 

Internet dropping out after installing Wondows 8.1

 

The work around presented here appears to have worked for me, the implication being my problem at least is related to a firmware issue. Time for a BT HH5 firmware update.

yes you are correct it is just a rant i do not think there is any thing that can be done until bt do a firmware update

It is nearly 2 months of problems  now i have been in contact with a few tech guys but they are still telling me there is not a problem with the hh5 and he does not know of any firmware update

The HH5 reboots are probably due to line faults
