I have a complete (black) wifi disc in son's room and by the time it gets to him, it's still giving him ~150 to 200 MB so fast enough for him to play his xbox. not sure if its worth forking out for the new router if the BT one is giving me this.
thanks to you and @busterboy1 for your suggestions though.
I kept the SH2 and just cabled the whole house... I was not really comfortable to drill through between the floors to run ethernet cables, but managed to hide them in cable trunkings. I got a TPlink router upstairs set as Access Point and my son's nintendo switch is connected through wifi to that, my other son's xbox is connected with a cable and I also connected my Vodafone Sure Signal box to it with a cable and my security camera is connected through wifi. Downstairs I have 2 gigabit switch. My PC, my xbox and the TV are all connected to these. I actually also connected my black bt wifi disc to one of the switches and this way it gives me better speed even at the very back of my garden. I'm quite happy with this set up, it's not very professional, it's not the prettiest, but it works really well and everywhere in the house, upstairs, downstairs and even in the garden I get full wireless and full wired speed. 😄
Would appreciate help getting the 110Mb upload enabled also. Was on 500/73, upgraded to 900/110 a month ago. Upload stuck at 73.
Over the phone they advised to hard reset and then factory reset after which reverted to 50 then back up to 73 over next few days and stayed there again.
Explained this was a known issue and declined offer of new SH2 or engineer as wouldn’t solve this issue.
Thanks in advance.
I have just signed up for 900/110 and am also stuck at 50mb upload... Tried rebooting the router etc and still the same. After reading the last few pages I'd be very grateful for some assistance from one of the mods who works at BT and is aware of the issue and resolving it for others.
Hi @Stormforce and @iLikeTrifle I'm really sorry you're having issues with your upload speed. This normally resolves itself after a couple of days when the Hub downloads an update but the moderation team will be happy to help.
I'll send you both a private message in a moment so you can send over your details. You'll find the message by clicking on the envelope at the top right of this webpage.
Hoping you might be able to help me out. Signed up to 900/150 and had it installed today.
Wired Ethernet to the sh2 with nothing else connected getting 300 (at a push) / 50 capped. Could you look into what profile I’ve been put on please.
@NeilO it says you edited my post, and it's now hidden in this thread?
Was I not allowed to mention that my Speeds are an abysmal 320/53, on a 900 plan?
The BT support aren't helping much either
Would you be able to check my plan too please? Thankyou!
