Re: BT G.INP?

I take it you just have to leave the ECI modem connected and hope it gets the frimware update

Re: BT G.INP?

I've noticed recently that my ECI modem has started syncing at a faster speed. So presumably G.INP is now active on my line.

Re: BT G.INP?

If G.INP is applied to a line with an ECI modem with the old firmware, it will sync up with the cabinet (DSL light on) but you wont be able to access the internet. The fix is to perform a manual DLM reset to allow the firmware to download/update before reapplying the G.INP change. This will need an engineer visit.

Re: BT G.INP?

@ardsar

Its clearly outlined in the  cpe enablement dashboard.

People are repeating 3rd hand out of context nonsense, from a single post on another forum that relates to older eci cpe's on an active retransmission profile.

Maybe the Mods, will see fit to post the infomation of the eci cpe upgrades last year that included the code necessary for the eventual implementation of downstream DSL retransmission profiles for GEA-FTTC.

Re: BT G.INP?

So my HG612 B3 Modem came today and I have done some tests, ECI B-FOCuS V-2FUb/r Rev.B vs HG612 3B and here they are:

(Ping, Download then Upload)

ECI:

6 / 68.22 / 18.68
7 / 68.16 / 18.79
6 / 68.27 / 18.94

HG612:

7 / 66.67 / 17.29
6 / 66.61 / 17.30
7 / 66.70 / 17.19

Then I tested the ECI one again to make sure the speeds didnt go down on the HG612 because of my IP going down.

ECI:

6 / 68.49 / 18.94

6 / 68.47 / 18.84
7 / 68.49 / 18.90

So it looks like on my line anyway ECI are the fastest, (I am on an ECI DSLAM)

Is this the case for any modem (i.e third party modem/router) that doesn't have G.Inp enabled firmware, or just ECI modems?
