I have not altered any wires behind my master socket faceplate but i have jst looked and there is a wire going to every terminal. I dont want to cut any wires as i have no idea what im doing and dont want to loose connection altogether.
if you have the NTE5 as the master - one where bottom hjave comes off - then you only need wires conencted to terminals 2&5 and the rest are not required especially the wire(s) conencted to terminal 3. this should be disconencted you don't need to cut it and should be removed form terminal 3 in all sockets - as explained here
Hi,
I have disconected the bell wire and rebooted my HH. Download speed currently at 16mb.
Here is my hub stats.
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
according to stats you have a 31.8mb connection speed with noise margin about normal at 6.2db. now see it after your changes thes hub remains stable
Many thanks for your help. I willl keep an eye on it over the next few days and update you.
Hi Imjolly,
Just a quick update. I have been keeping any eye on my connection since removing the bell wire.
My connection seems to be hovering arouund 28 to 30mb Since the removal of the wire i have not seen my download speed drop below 20mb.
The HH5 does not seem to be rebooting its self as much either. Current Uptime 1 day 4 hours
I think you have solved my issue - Thank You so much for taking the time to reply to me and for your advice.
I wish you all the best
Thank You 🙂
thanks for update
if it starts dropping conenction again then post back
