Re: BT Home Hub 5 with BT Infinity 2 - Rebooting

Since my last posting, the hub has rebooted itself again 4 times!!!!  I'm getting rather annoyed with this.  My connection duration time is getting shorter and shorter!  I also used to enjoy better speeds in excess of 100Mbps when I lived in Lincolnshire and using the old HH3 and HH4.  Can I please have my old hubs back?

Thanks Everon - just read your posting on the link provided.  Makes you wonder about the quality of the HH5.

Re: BT Home Hub 5 with BT Infinity 2 - Rebooting

have you tried using the test socket with a filter to rule out the SSFP and also your internal wiring.  as I said already if 3 new hubs are are still causing the problem then maybe time to look elsewhere either that or you are extremely unlucky

can you post hub stats to see if anything changed after all these resets

Re: BT Home Hub 5 with BT Infinity 2 - Rebooting

I've just been in touch with BT on the phone and a very helpful chappy ran things down with me and we both came to the conclusion I ordered my HH5A right at the beginning when they had the first few A revisions in stock and they did suffer with this issue with some models and of cause I paid about £130.00 for it at the time so he has sent me a replacement HH5C out now, he says that will sort the issue out, hopefully I will see.

Re: BT Home Hub 5 with BT Infinity 2 - Rebooting

Don't know myself tbh, he said he will send the latest HH5C on the phone. Maybe he got it mixed up with other Home Hub revisions.

A or B isn't revision, it's manufacturer.

Re: BT Home Hub 5 with BT Infinity 2 - Rebooting

I thought it meant the next revison, usually if it gets an upgrade they always call it the next revision like as in A, B, C, D... or 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and so on. I never knew it meant the manufaturer difference? why call it A, B then C if it refers to the manufaturer difference does not make sense, they might as well as stuck with the letter A. So what your telling me is then A is no difference to B or C, its just a different manfaturer? to make the model cheaper, that's rubbish, if you think about it!
