BT Hub constantly not working even with blue light, wifi constantly dropping an terrible lag

This is getting ridiculous now, we got our new BT Hub put in this time last year, and it was great for a few weeks, but then the wifi started to drop constantly over multiple nights and we had to ring up and they said it was an issue on their end. The wifi went back on and all was fine, but this was happening a lot. 

Fast forward to the past couple weeks, and this thing drops EVERY NIGHT, and the lag i get when playing games on my consoles, the download speed is and has never been nowhere near what we were told, and the time it takes to load websites and things on my devices is ridiculous, i feel like i’m stuck in 1990. 

Every single night the wifi has been dropping, the light is still blue, which i understand means there is a connection, but NOTHING is working at all. Nothing connected via Ethernet, or wirelessly. When i enter the settings app on my iPhone, underneath the wifi it says No Internet Connection in yellow. 

I have tried changing the channels, and have tried factory resetting the wifi multiple times, and have even unplugged all of the ethernet cables from the back and it’s still not working. We are now at the point where it is not coming back on, even though the light is blue, whereas before fiddling and resetting it a few times could make it come back on.

Have you reported a fault to BT ? If not why not and if you have what did they say and do?

Not yet, because i was going to do that as a last resort, an instead would rather try to fix the problem without all of that hassle and want to see if there’s any other solutions i can try. It was also fine for about 9 months and the past 3 weeks it’s been terrible.

The blue light only shows that the hub is receiving broadband in to the hub  however what is not happening is the hub is not producing the 5ghz and 2.4 ghz WiFi signal out. To me it appears that you box is faulty, so need to get on to BT to have it replaced.
