That 448Kbs, does look suspiciously like ADSL Max and not VDSL.

Although the max data rate is higher. I think its a connection issue, like using a microfilter in a filtered socket, or plugging into a filtered extension socket. The engineer could not upload the results to the server, if they were wrong.

You are still on ADSL (normal broadband), not BT Infinity. There is no way the engineer could have measured that speed at your house.

 

Did they actually visit, or did they just ring to say you are getting 40Mbs?

I have flagged this up to the moderators, otherwise you are going to be given the runaround, if you complain to the helpdesk, as 10 days are not going to make any difference.

It's so frustrating! I've also asked the guy "Are you sure that it's the fibre working and not the old broadband?" :((

That seems a bit naughty. Hopefully the modertors will pick this one up. I cannot see how he could have uploaded the results to the BT server, as that is neede to complete the job?
