Re: BT Infinity Northern Ireland

Right if you're getting 5 meg on ADSL then I would fire off an e-mail to the mods using this link http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/4951 because on FTTC even if its not Infinity you should get a bit higher! And the checker is usually conservative.

Re: BT Infinity Northern Ireland

How far from the cabinet are you? Im 1mile from cabinet and get 20mb download. What is the prediction for you on the adsl checker? http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome

Mine was 6.1mb and now it says 10.0. But its a conservative estimate.

Re: BT Infinity Northern Ireland

Thanks guys. I am about a mile from the cabinet and it is the ADSL checker that predicts the 2.5 Meg downstream but since my connection has been as good as could be expected for the past couple of years, I was hoping for a better estimation. I'll try the Mods and may even take a leap of faith, the capped upload speed on ADSL cripples me when gaming.

Re: BT Infinity Northern Ireland

BT Checker still says I cannot get Infinity.

Is there anywhere I can check forward plans for the rollout?

Samknows says my exchange has FFTC in "some areas"

Re: BT Infinity Northern Ireland

Sorry to wake up an old thread but does anyone know if bt or openreach etc plan to improve existing fibre cabinet speeds? I get 22mb now so it has improved by about 5 mb from when I first got fibre, but my upload is still only 1mb. With ps4 around the corner the ability to upload gameplay and stuff with the share feature I could be doing with better upload.
