BT Infinity - Phone rings internet disconnects

Go to solution

So, had my BT Infinity Option 1 Installed today. Everytime, my house phone rings (landline) my internet disconnects, and this happens straight after the phone finishes too. I have never had this problem I have everything setup properly, filters on phonelines vice versa. Clean setup. Anyways, just need help on how to fix this.  Not really desperate or anything, because I have an engineer booked to visit me this week Friday.

If you connect to test socket does broadband still drop on receiving a call?

I shall test this out tomorrow and let you know what happens. Just for additional information, I have FTTC so I had to setup my router.

did you get an engineer to install your fibre with new filtered master socket or did you self install with standard filters?

It was self installed. Also tested as well when I test on the test socket that it still disconnects when the phone rings.

The phone should be disconnected by using the test socket

You probably have a line fault. You will need an engineer to come and fix it.
