BT Infinity Self Install - Do I need a new faceplate?

Hi.

I just ordered BT Infinity 1 and was introduced to a new self install option. Since the Home Hub 5 is built in with the VDSL modem, do I still need a new faceplate?

I remember I needed two cables running from the router to the plate however I only have the normal ADSL plate at this new house.

Thanks.

Re: BT Infinity Self Install - Do I need a new faceplate?

You won't need a new front plate, an SSFP is just an updated version of an ADSL 2000 faceplate.

Only problem is though that is the only socket you can plug your HH5 into though.

Re: BT Infinity Self Install - Do I need a new faceplate?

I have the 'Type 1: NTE5' socket.

So I just plug in my Home Hub 5 the same way I do now with ADSL?

The Homehub5 comes with dangly filters so you can plug the modem and a phone into the socket

I have the NTE5 socket (NO top cable, only bottom one)

So I just plug in my Home Hub 5 the same way I do now with ADSL?
