Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

Dreadful service from BT, but should I have expected any better?, not really, as they just dont give a rats ass about any customer, so long as your paying them the hard cash.  All that matters to them, first and foremost, money.  They dont give a **bleep** if your connection is not up to spec, its working as far as they are concerned, and believe me, they ain't concerned, not one little bit.

So you have to live with it untill your set free from the chains of BT in the meantine, unfortunately, but we live and learn, and when the time comes, I'll be off like a rocket, and I suspect many others will be too.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

Hello,

I am at the stage that I can't trust BT right now. Everytime a page times out or I see buffering I am wondering if the issue is back. Back and forth with support and they give me the speil that its all fine, only had word from higher up there was a problem and not confirmed if its fixed and/or what the issue was.

Trying to get get out my contract but so far unsucessful.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

Same here in South Wales (01495).  Synced up 76MB/s DOWN 20MB/s UP but I only get 6 MB sometimes - its been happening for a week now.  My ping to bbc.co.uk is a nice and normal 14ms when its working but spikes up to 200ms when it starts going crazy.  Youtube is buffering and my kids are moaning at me about it.   Called BT last week who said it was a Network issue (after checking out all the equipment). Its actually doing it earlier today then normal usually starts messing up about 4-30pm. It really looks like a capacity issue. So as of 14:26pm 19/12/2014 is all spiky again.  I am paying over £60.00 a month for this BT infinity 2.  People on my street with normal broadband seem to be ok.  I want to give BT a chance to fix this before I change because when this was working it was the best consumer broadband I have ever experienced coming close to my 100MB leased line at work.

COME ON BT/OPENREACH PLEASE READ THESE MESSAGES AND LOOK INTO THE NETWORK/CAPACITY FAULT BEFORE YOU LOSE ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS.

THE NEXT TIME I PHONE BT IT WILL BE TO CEASE THE BROADBAND AS I AM SICK OF GOING THROUGH DIAGNOSTICS.

Simon Thomas an IT Manager, South Wales.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

If it's any comfort to people the mod I'm still in contact with took details from me about my experience with the issue that is obviously going on still for me and others and is passing my details on to the network people.

Granted it might not be anything major but I told him all about my evening speeds being reduced despite it being fine during the day, my online gaming experience, timing out web pages, buffering etc. Things do seem to be getting looked at in the background.

I usually like to point to the finger at the big company - Get angry and the like but the fact he took his time to listen to my whole story and pass it on is nice.

Obviously I can't defend BT themselves but the mods are amazing! I can't fault them.

Mark.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

Is anyone getting disconnects every hour or so? I've just had a DNS error and was disconnected from my game.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

I had a DNS error only once today it took my internet down with it. Thankfully my speeds aren't affected.

Again my PS3 stated "This is a DNS error."

Also getting timed out with server errors on my phone to Facebook. I haven't tried anything on my laptop. It still is poo for me lol.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

I can't do anything it's literally DNS error every 10 minutes now, sometimes bringing down the connection. Utter pile of **bleep** from BT.
