BT Infinity speed dropped ?

Hi I've noticed over the last few months or so my speeds have dropped and not sure why.

Downstream sync speed:  62.90 Mbps

Use to be around 67.00Mbps but now it's down to 62.90 Mbps. Nothing has changed here, everything is still as before when speeds was higher. Just wondering if there a long term problem?

I have re-booted the smarthub many times over the the few months. Speeds went up to around 33.??Mbps  It's not a huge problem, but wonder whats going on as I was lead to believe my speeds would be higher for the price.

If anyone at BT could look into this for me I would be grateful.

Many thanks in advance

M

Re: BT Infinity speed dropped ?

How often is your hub restarted? If you reboot them too often, then it may slow down.
It can take time for your line to stable again.

Re: BT Infinity speed dropped ?

@albertj Your post is very misleading.

Speed is not intentionally lowered in case of a problem with the line.

Too many reboots in a short time will trick DLM into thinking there is a problem.

@mandy2016

Could you post the connection stats from the hub.

Re: BT Infinity speed dropped ?

thanks for speedy reply, I do not often re-boot. I think BT re-boot the hub more than me when they are updating firm ware etc.

again thanks for the speedy reply.

Re: BT Infinity speed dropped ?

67 to 62.9? Can you tell any difference? Or is this a typo? You suggest later speed went up  to 33.

Re: BT Infinity speed dropped ?

The connection stats do not show any problem, I'm willing to be those 4mbs come back over winter.

Re: BT Infinity speed dropped ?

Hi, can't really tell the difference it's just a  psychological thing, knowing you can or should be getting 67Mbps yet it's down to 62.90Mbps. It would just be nice to know what has caused it.

More like misleading than a typo.. It was 67Mbps for well since I first signed up with BT, It dropped to 62.00Mbps  and it's now at 62.90Mbps to be exact. Sorry a bit misleading as I never included the decimal point

Going back up in winter time? Hmm well maybe

Hope this clears things up
