BT/OPEN REACH FIBRE

Hi all,

I had a quick question.

The network box that I have is BT/Open reach. The maximum speed I can get to my house is 67mb

My neighbour has fibre over 1GB to their house.

I spoke with BT/Open reach who said that roll out in my area is supposed to be completed by end of Jan 2023.

I spoke with virgin media who said that they will speak to the technical team. But actually my property was supposed to be on their map

Do both companies have access to those boxes? Is their a technical solution to resolve this or to speed up the delivery of this? Or even an interim solution. What is annoying is that I can pick up my neighbours wifi on my router. (AHHH)

Oh and my house isnt the two rocks on the gravel outside. 😊

Re: BT/OPEN REACH FIBRE

Openreach are nothing to do with Virgin Media and the method of delivering FTTP is different so the two aren't interchangeable. If you're neighbour has VM, that'll be why they can get 1gbps and you can't.
