So I ordered bt infinity package (FTTC) and new phone line and phones from BT took delivery of my new hub and phones...great ! Openreach turn up- get my broadband operational...so far so good ! Guy comes back a few hours later to sort the line out and then tells me HE CAN'T! .. the cabinet is some how to capacity?????or at least the old copper one is? So ive got broadband but no phone line and god knows how long this DISASTER is gonna take to resolve ? I have no idea who im suppose to speak to and all the time Im paying for a non existant service? Why on earth did bt issue me with a new phone number if there is no space left in the old cabinet ...
The openreach guy said its the first time hes ever come across this type of issue?
If anyone has any ideas im all ears..
Would recommend contacting the moderators, they will take personal ownership over your case until it's resolved.
You can contact them here, it can take up to 3 working days to get a reply.
If you have broadband but no phone I bet the E-Side assigned to you was faulty and there are no working spares or what they call stops.
Fixing E-Side faults is very tricky, expensive and time consuming as you are talking about 1000+ pair cable joints. Also the E-Side Network is pressurised so engineers can't just access it whenever they want/need to.
As Ryan has advised, contact the Mods.
Using an iPhone or Android app is unacceptable and is a rediculous solution to this case.
Not a solution, just a temporary work-around until it gets fixed, if required 😉
A temp work-around is only applicable if everybody has the same available. Yours doesn't so irrelevant.
I can see I'm going have to explain it to you.
A temporary work-around is something that anyone can use to resolve a problem without having anything that the "normal" user would not have.
Your work-around depended on an iPhone or Android.-FAIL!
Got the idea now?
By all means post a work-arond that would apply to all.
