I have recently moved house and BT tells me that I am unable to get fibre broadband at the new address. However, the engineer that connected me said that fibre would be available and my neighbour also has BT fibre broadband.
The BT broadband availability checker also seems to suggest that my phone number should be able to get fibre (I think).
Is anyone able to help? Is it possible that this is a database error?
Thanks in advance,

Does the checker show what cabinet you are connected to or does it state an exchange only line.
Ignore the FTTP on demand as that is a red herring for residential users.
If possible can you post the checker details for your neighbour - you may need to use the address option.
The checker says Cabinet 12.
I have checked for my neighbour's number. He is also Cabinet 12 and this is what the checker returns:
there is something odd with checker results if your neighbour is close to you as you don't show any FTTC and your adsl speed is only half of that available to your neighbour
How long is it that you've been connected? The database can take up to 2 weeks to update.
