Bad Hops to EA servers with traceroute included

Hi all,

I've been having lots of latency issues while gaming specifically on the PS5, I have trace routes for my PS5 showing a few bad Hops with latency spikes north of 200ms to a London server. I've been told to contact BT for this to be looked into. My connection is FTTP and my PS5 is connected via a LAN cable not WiFi. Down below I will attach photos of a Trace report to EA servers, Ports that I've opened and a link to the FIFA forum website in which the full conversation can be read.

Ive been sent here from an EA technical advisor to hopefully fix this issue, in this I will include the link to the full conversation. He says theres a problem with my node and that an engineer or anyone on here with constacts needs to come and look at this issue.

Hope to hear from someone soon, thanks

In this link there is a full trace route to EA servers Europe and also the ports that I have oponed.

Re: Bad Hops to EA servers with traceroute included

This isn't a fault reporting forum. It's a customer to customer help forum. The guy on the EA Sports forum is suggesting that you raise a fault so that it can be investigated so you'll need to raise it with BT directly and if necessary they'll send out to Openreach who own and operate the network.

Re: Bad Hops to EA servers with traceroute included

how do I go about contacting them? Ideally I would like to send an email so they can see my traceroute. A phone does absoultly nothing as half the time they dont understand what I mean. I cant find an email address to send to the fault team. The only email address I can find is the customer service one.

You can call the FTTP team on 0800.587.4787 and report a fault. If they require any of the information you have gathered they will no doubt give you the means to forward it to them.
