Banded Profile?

Hi, am I on a banded profile?

I got fibre installed last November and had many problems and only 2 months ago a network problem was found (but they didn’t say what).

After it was fixed it was still the same and they sent engineer which said the line was fine.

There has been some local power cuts over the last few months but since then my connection has stayed for 14 days before refreshing.

Data rate:
7.90 Mbps / 35.00 Mbps
Maximum data rate:
7074 / 42978
Noise margin:
3.2 dB / 8.8 dB
Line attenuation:
24.7 dB

Thanks

John

Re: Branded Profile?

if you have a hub can you post the full stats please

it is possible that with all the drops in connection previously that you could be in a banded profile.  did the engineer not reset DLM after he fixed your previous fault?

is there any noise on line  try 17070 option 2  should be silent and best with corded phone

Thanks for the reply.

No he didn't mention resetting the DLM, I have tested the line and there is no noise.

Re: Branded Profile?

Will DLM reset my broadband speed over time if my connection remains stable, even though it wasn’t reset after the fault which probably was there when I was switched on to fibre last year.

Thanks

Re: Branded Profile?

if your connection is stable then DLM should reduce noise margin and increase connection speed but could take weeks

Re: Branded Profile?

Thanks, do I need to report this or just let DLM take affect?

Thanks
