Broadband Infinity 2 - HH5 Reboots at 11pm every night

Just upgraded to Infinity 2, however even with Infinity 1 I was seeing the same issue.

HH5 reboots at 11pm each night, just as I settle down to watch a film.

 

Any ideas on how to make the Hub more stable?

 

e.g System Log

22:59:26, 08 Feb. ( 7458.120000) The system is going DOWN for reboot.
20:54:30, 08 Feb. (76523.580000) The system is going DOWN for reboot.
23:38:29, 07 Feb. ( 2744.920000) The system is going DOWN for reboot.
23:53:17, 07 Feb. STP Alert: Port eth0 leaving blocking state.
22:47:22, 07 Feb. (38065.370000) The system is going DOWN for reboot.

Sorry - thought I would add.

 

1. Done a line check - all OK

2. Done a speed check - all OK

3. Done a hard - factory reset (small pin button) of the HH5

4. Tried disconnecting devices from WiFi to reduce load - still reboots

Possibly a noisy line.

 

Does your phone work ok? Dial 17070 option 2 for the quiet line test and listen - it should be silent.

If the line rest is silent ...

 

Also check for any heater / light timers ect.

 

The quick n' easy way to make the hh5 more stable is to hook it up to an ecr/r or hg612 modem*

 

*Need an unlocked one if you still want to see the line connection info though.....

Yes - line is silent. Thanks - I have stable Broadband all day - then at 11pm pretty much +/- 2 minutes each night it resets.

The HH5 is sat alone, its in a cool spot, and nothing obvious happens at 11pm. I know what devices are connected and I have also tried disconnecting everything.

The whole HH5 resets with 'reboot' statements in the System Log. I presume these would not occur if the hub had a failure?

I am paying a lot of money to BT for this service, I don't intend to have to add more hardware to my configuration. Bit worried I'm been recommended 3rd party modems 2 posts into my issue.

Already done this a couple of time with no faults reported.

We cannot detect a problem with this line.
It may be caused by a faulty phone or equipment.

What does the DSL checker estimate for your line? www.dslchecker.bt.com
