Line test shouldn't have any static - you could have a line fault.  It would be best to perform the test again with a corded phone - it should be silent between announcements.

@brookheatherNo corded phone, will try and borrow one. I thought maybe just because cordless. Now you mention it a couple have people have said, when phoning BT support, that the line was bad, difficult to hear 🙂

I don't want to see the log. I want to see the connection stats. Lines 1-12 will suffice.
