Broadband and phone line cancelled unexpectedly without my permission.

Yesterday, I woke to discover no broadband connection, I then discovered I had no phone line either. I tried to log on to my bt only to be told my account did not exist despite taking out a new 18month contract less than two weeks ago. I’ve since spoken with numerous people, was told I would receive a call back which I didn’t. I’ve now been told 48hours has to pass before new broadband can be issued. This is terrible, I’ve been left with no working phone line and my mobile can’t make outgoing calls. I have no broadband. And I think it’s appaling I’ve been left in this position that someone could disconnect my services without my permission. Why do I need to wait 48 hours to be reconnected when this should never have happened in the first place.
