Hi All
My broadband has been down since last Thursday. I’m a BT plus customer, so a 4g hub is on the way. However my engineer visit is tomorrow anyway and hopefully this will resolve the issue. I wanted to ask if anyone knows if the engineer has spare hubs on the day (if that’s what the problem is) or will I have to wait for one in the post. If it is a new hub required, will I have to pay for it? I’m in contract, but my HH5 is from a my last contract.
Thanks

Openreach only supply a replacement Hub if it’s a Broadband Boost Task as they are working directly for BT.
If it’s any other kind of Broadband Task, i.e. SFI2, FTTC1, SFVA then no they won’t supply you with a replacement Hub if the faulty.
If you are in contract and the hub is faulty it will be replaced free of charge and sent via the post.
I do recall @Starwire stating broadband boost engineers are only for ADSL.
Another one who doesn’t read the whole thing. 😒
