Looking at the photo you've supplied it looks like there's a CBT on the pole where they will take the fibre from and it will be an overhead cable (the same as the phone line).

Give the FTTP team a ring to order, they cannot tell you anything about the install as that is in the hands of Openreach.

Hi pippincp

I have already made the order hence the engineer coming out on the 28th. If its the case that it will be an overhead cable then all is well, and no excavation will be needed, which means things are A OK.

licquorice - thanks, i have had it confirmed on the phon enow also.
i dont understand why they didnt confirm this stuff initially.

iniltous - thanks for all your guidance and the link to the checker etc, you have all put our mind at rest and now we can get ready and move to our new home with much less stress and worry.
