Can a mod please check to see if my exchange is having congestion issues?

Hi all,

 

I'm having all the symptoms of congestion here, but I'm struggling to get this confirmed via the telephone. We've got a quiet line with perfect speeds througout the day, but dropping massively of an evening. 2 Openreach engineers have confirmed that all wiring is perfect in our home.

 

I'm on Exchange WOODGATE , Cabinet 30 🙂

post some btspeedtster results with ethernet conenction - first when ok off peak and last peak when poor to illustrate your problem

Here are two speedtests from the BT test site, both taken whilst there is no other traffic, and with an ethernet connection. One at 18:30, and another at 20:45. The problems typically begin around 19:00-19:30 and it's all back to normal at 22:30ish! These results aren't too bad to be honest, it often drops into single digits, making streaming very difficult.

Hi @Juthely,

 

I've had a look at it does look like there is a congestion issue at your exchange. That is affecting your speeds during peak times. Please can you send me in your details using the "Contact The Mods" link found in my profile. I'll be able to take a look to see if anything can be done to improve your speeds.

Hi @Juthely,

 

I got word back from BT Wholesale. They are making a few changes to your circuit and you should see an improvement over the next 48 hours.

I've got confirmation from BT Wholesale that they've completed their work and this should see your speeds increase. Please can you retest your speeds using the link http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/ and post back the results?
