Should be having Infinity installed on Wednesday and the HH5 came today.. I like to use my own routers as the HH5 doesn't really support my needs.
I can use my router with the Openreach modem just fine but iv been told that they are no longer given out anymore? Can I just ask the engineer to give me one?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can ask but he might a) say no b) say yes c) not have any to hand out.
You can buy them on a well known aution site for under £25
They arent supposed to give them out if you already have a hub5. They may feel generous that day though.
Well it would be less than ideal.. I have a pretty extensive network setup with my own equipment and I already tried running my whole network off the HH5 and while transfering some files over LAN it just fell over. It was fine until I connected the 15th device then it got kind of wonky.
I asked if they could send me one and they said 'yes' only to then say 'no' a few days later. They said 'low stocks' was why.
