End of day I would assume (4pm) and not heard or seen anything from OpenReach unless they did do something but did not inform me.

OpenReach engineers arrived this morning and checked all sorts of different things. The conclusion was that albeit the line showed up as in perfect shape the internet tests failed showing some sort of "internet noise" on the line. This was measured from my socket but also from the connection to my house down to the cabinet. In the end the engineers moved my to another cable pair between my junction and the front of my estate and the "internet noise" disappeared according to the engineers. My stats seem to have improved also (max attainable speed has gone from 45 to 57Mbps.

Fingers crossed the issue is finally solved (only time will tell)

Just thought to give a latest update. After switching my drop (?) line I have had a stable connection ever since. Thanks to Paddy for helping to finally sort this out
