So, my cabinet was taken out by a van a few weeks ago (see pic)
My broadband was working on a single wire for a couple of weeks at speed ranges between 10 and 20mpbs, until the cabinet was replaced and my line started syncing and increasing the speed.
But I've always had a solid 80/20 connection, now I've been stuck at 60/17 for the last day or so.
Can replacing the cabinet affect my connection so much, I would have thought a newer cab, would not have made the connection worse.
My guaranteed speed is only 32mbps, so its not as if I can raise a fault for it, can I?
Am I stuck at a slower speed now? Thoughts?
Thanks
Michael

post hub stats if hh6 then advanced settings then technical log information
check for line noise

You are getting far faster speed than estimated and have room for improvement when DLM does its stuff. Just be patient
Yeah, I know I should be more patient, but I'd be pretty gutted if I don't get back to 80. Working from home ('m BT too) with 2 laptops, the Mrs using netflix and the child on youtube, really hits home about how much speed is actually needed nowadays.
Michael 🙂
So here we are 12 days later and I'm stuck at 60/17.
Is there anything that can be done to force a resync?
The HH has been restarted a couple of times during the last 12 days, but there has seemingly been no auto resync for a while.
Thanks
It maybe because it is the same problem that others have after the latest Firmware update
Firmware version:
SG4B1000E020
Firmware updated:
12-Mar-2020
Yours was done on the 12 March 2020 and your line attenuation etc, is now much different
Line attenuation:
32.4 dB
Signal attenuation:
23.7 dB / 32.4 dB
Do you have a record of what it was before the 12 March
There are lots of comments about this new firmware which have reduced speeds.
All, I have from prior 12 Mar is this line, which I took from the techical log
00:01:32, 01 Jan.
dsl:VDSL link Up: Down Rate=71520Kbps, Up Rate=20954Kbps, SNR Margin Down=8.30dB, SNR Margin Up=14.00dB
you cannot resync the hub to increase your speed in fact if you get any increase it will be by making sure the hub stays connected 24/7
as you current connection speed is well about your expected range from dslchecker BT are not going to help
