Also just noticed this but I did not get disconnected from the internet at this time and I thought this message usually shows when the router/modem is reconnecting you back to the internet:

Re: Disconnecting 2-3 Times a Day

Gazza

You asked about the blue light not going out.

I've had a year of perhaps 2-5 drops outs per day, every day, and the blue light doesn't goes out. None of the lights alter on the hub. It appears normal. I started with HH3, then they replaced it with a HH4 which was then replaced with another HH4, same issues.

Re: Disconnecting 2-3 Times a Day

Thanks for the replies.

New router/modem came which has seemed to have stopped the disconnections every 4-5 hours I was getting but I am noticing packet loss, not sure if there was any packet loss on the home hub 5 as I was not monitoring it.

Re: Disconnecting 2-3 Times a Day

Disconnected again last night with the new router/modem connected, I think this may have been DLM kicking in as my data rate down has decreased.

Anyway I can get a MOD to look at my line to see what is going on with it and to make sure there are no faults?

As I am torn atm to either using the home hub and getting no packet loss or using the Asus router/modem which is hardly disonnecting but seems to be giving me packet loss not sure if there is some incompatiblitiy with it and the CAB

Re: Disconnecting 2-3 Times a Day

Someone had similar problems here http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/dslrouter/t/4298029-just-got-a-asus-dsl-n66u.html

Maybe there's a Merlin firmware available?

You could always grab a 2nd hand HG612 modem...

Re: Disconnecting 2-3 Times a Day

Would it be causing the packet loss I am getting too? with the Asus connected I am seeing more packet loss then the BT home hub 5 and I have no idea why atm.

Re: Disconnecting 2-3 Times a Day

You probably have a fault on the line. Do you get any noise on the quiet line test? (dial 17070 option 2)
