It's still crazy that you can't change products on the same technology.

If the customer wanted ADSL the could be downgraded with no issue.

Similarly when changing ISP, Openreach would still accept an order for FTTC, as not all ISP's offer FTTP.

Just because FTTP is available doesn't mean the FTTC cabinet will be ripped out. It will remain in place.

Given it's very very rare for an area to have FTTC and FTTP, I reckon this is a simple computer says no issue, as opposed to being an actual process and procedure within BT retail.
