Downstream set lower than guranteed speed

Hi

I've been with BT for 21 months now and recently noticed that downstream speed is set at 40Mbps where guaranteed speed I should get is 50Mbps. I've already asked BT to resolve the issue but nothing has happened this is why I'm leaving. Can I claim back for the speeds I was promised but never received?

Re: Downstream set lower than guranteed speed

Is there any noise on your phone line. Dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone

Re: Downstream set lower than guranteed speed

Looking at the checker results I cannot see how you've got a 50Mb guaranteed minimum. Still waiting for hub stats.

Re: Downstream set lower than guranteed speed

From the checker results it looks as though either DLM has banded the line at 40M or it has been mis-provisioned.

Posted before stats shown, stats confirm supposition.

Re: Downstream set lower than guranteed speed

Connection time only 5hrs was that manual reset or hub dropping connection

if you are having problems with your hub groping internet connection then looks like as @licquorice  suggested that DLM  has put you in a banded profile to try and stabilise your connection
