Re: Draytek Vigor 2750n Connection Issues

gillygumdrops,

Try resetting to factory defaults, and make sure that Multi-VLAN is set to 101.

Also try logging in with your BT email and PW,that works for me.

Re: Draytek Vigor 2750n Connection Issues

Hi guys,

Just bumping this thread as I don't feel that my question is important enough to start a new thread with.

When you guys, who own the Vigor 2750n, go to WAN > INTERNET ACCESS what is your WAN CONNECTION DETECTION set to?  Mine is disabled, but I see on the Vigor site, here, they have it set to ARP.  Should I do the same?

Re: Draytek Vigor 2750n Connection Issues

As requested:

My WAN Connection Detection is also disabled (and has been for over a year).

No problems with it disabled - yes Infinity sometimes disconnects/reconnects (usually in the early hours), but it has always sorted itself out without the WAN connection detection.

Hope this helps,

Re: Draytek Vigor 2750n Connection Issues

What does it actually do? ... Is there any benefit in having it disabled?

Re: Draytek Vigor 2750n Connection Issues

It just uses different ways to detect your online status,if left disabled it just uses the PPPoE info you have entered anyway.

I have mine left at the  ARP setting.

Ironman - Is your connection type set to PPPoE still?

I was having a few connection drops so I figured that I might try to enable the ARP connection.

Re: Draytek Vigor 2750n Connection Issues

Yes,we all have to connect using the PPPoE method in the VDSL setup config, but the ARP choice is just used to comfirm that connection.

There are other choices like the "ping" method which simply pings the current name server [DNS on the WAN side].

But it does not matter because if you are not online then your connection to the outside would not work.

APR is the default setting on the 2750n so I just leave it that way,and I don`t get drops because my log states that I have been connected for 26 days since I Iast did a reset myself.

Re: Draytek Vigor 2750n Connection Issues

After having port forwarding issues, ie. I couldn't get any to work I just bought the 2750vn.

Why didn't I look here first?

I now have £207 of junk that won't connect under any circumstances.......

How is this being advertised as suitable for BT Infinity????

Looks like an ebay refund, that should be fun..................

Re: Draytek Vigor 2750n Connection Issues

Ebay is an auction site.?Where you bid to buy.?

I have never used it,but are the devices sold there new or second hand.?

Your 2750vn [with the latest firmware] should just connect when the VLAN and other settings are correct, and most importantly it must be using the PPPoE choice.

The 2750vn does work with infinity, but it is not easy to setup properly.

Sounds like you have purchased a faulty one.
