FIbre 1 package, consistently getting slow speeds

For the last 2 - 3 days I have been getting speeds averaging 16mbps. My package has 41mbps minimum speed guarantee.

Post hub stats. Advanced settings then technical log information

check for line noise. Dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone

enter phone number and post results remember delete number

Re: FIbre 1 package, consistently getting slow speeds

Connection time is very short at 25 min was that a manual reset or are you having problems with hub constantly dropping connection?

are you using the test socket with a filter to eliminate any problems with master faceplate and internal wiring

Yes it was a manual reset. I have previously had problems with the connection frequently dropping but its seems to have settled down recently.

I will try test socket with filter now.

From the test socket with filter. Still slow on speed test.

Re: FIbre 1 package, consistently getting slow speeds

Stats are basically just the same and looks like you are in a banded profile and DLM sees your line as being unstable. However even your attainable about 50mb is below the estimated range and even below handback speed

looks like you need engineer to check your line and need to phone 151   As long as engineer just checks line from outside your home

Re: FIbre 1 package, consistently getting slow speeds

Exact same issues I was having. Went through everything on here (test socket etc) however after going via the BT portal to test for issues it came back stating an engineer was required. After a visit he said the issue was outside the property and that he was getting Openreach to look into it. Said that most likely handled remotely however if there were further issues they'd be in touch however that it would take up to 3 days. Less than 2 hours later I received a call from BT saying after engineers visit had I noticed an improvement. I asked if Openreach had carried out the work and was told that as far as they were concerned their end it was fixed.  Asked me a few questions and said would leave fault open for 24 hours for me to monitor. On hanging up ran speed test again and still slow. Waited to next morning (14 hours) and still slow. Looked on the website re the fault and it had been closed off the previous day stating that I'd agreed was fixed!!!

My package is up for renewal and last time I was being told that my est speed was between 68-76mbps and that my guaranteed speed was 66mbps. Looking at renewal my price is jumping up considerably and the speed is now listed as 58-66 with guaranteed speed of 55. Yet if I look at taking the package as someone anonymous in my street they get 68-76 with guarantee of 71mbps!

Been with BT for 15 years however this might see me take my broaband to Virgin! And I vowed never to go there!
