FTTP 1Gb/s

Go to solution

Hi all, I am currently on FTTP 300/49. The BT wholesale checker shows that 1Gb connection is available to my address.

When checking BT site I can't find any mention of packages that offer this speed.

Is this something that is available now or will it be coming in the future?

Thanks

Openreach ar launching their 500Mbps and 1000Mbps packages for ISPs on March 23rd so keep an eye out on or after that date.

Depending on the pricing could be very tempting!

I really do wonder what a residential customer does with 1Gb/s, but I'm sure you will enlighten me!

I can confirm they use it to sit and run random speed tests throughout the day for no reason whatsoever other than the fact their wives has stopped doing you know what with them.

Anyone who claims they need it for work is basically just a tat seller on fleabay.
