FTTP dropping connection.

Had fttp  setup in a new build 4 weeks ago,   just cheapest deal at time 56mb £29.

been fine until last few days,  over last few days keeps dropping connectiom which I thoiught was hard to do with FTTP,

Called support they confirmed over last 48 hours,  bt hub tried to connect 20 times and was only successful 2 times out of 20, lol

my service is down for upto 4 hours at a times, Support say thats fine still have a working service lol,  and say will be router, will get a new router in 3 days time,

Ping normally was around 16, now ping 167,   speed had dropped from solid 51/10  to 34/9

any ideas.

Is it just the Router Dropping Connection or is the ONT also Dropping Connection, as in the PON Light either flashes or goes off completely and the LOS Light goes Red?
