FTTP set up sub-optimal

Go to solution

12 months ago we were fortunate to get FTTP as we have an isolated farm. BT terminated the fibre within a wooden barn attached to the house so the modem and Homehub are outside the house. Wifi connectivity is patchy and far slower than speed tests conducted next to the Homehub. This morning we were upgraded to the 150mbps package and I am trying to obtain additional discs to get the Wifi to dead spots. My question is this: is it feasible to move the Homehub into the house. This would require a maximum of 5m of patch cable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The hub can be up to 100metres from the ONT without any loss of speed. Just run a cat5e Ethernet cable to where you want it sited.
