Re: Fault reported online (broadband speed), engineer booked. BT cancelled the appointment, faulty s

Thanks @JohnC2 , I noticed connection reset on 24th and:

FireShot Capture 095 - OpenWrt - Overview - LuCI - http___192.168.1.1_cgi-bin_luci_.jpg

Appears stable, hopefully DLM might try reducing snr to boost further the data rate in the coming weeks.

Thanks so much.

7Mb is going to be a world of difference. I wonder what you are going to do with that extra 7Mb? **Edited**

Bro why u being so rude? 7mbps is almost a whole 1MB increase in download. If that reduces the download time by even 10 minutes of anything he’s downloading it’s worth it.

@JohnC2  Connection has been stable and unchanged for 5 weeks showing the following:ss.jpg

Is there any reason the line doesn't train to nearer the max attainable rate?

Aysgarth CAB 3, does that make a difference?

Stats at 06/09 had improved to,

Data Rate   73.39 Mb/s   / 19.999 Mb/s

Max Data Rate   76.732 Mb/s  / 24.492 Mb/s

LATN             9 db / 7 db

SATN              9 db / 7 db

SNR                4db / 15db

Its remained very similar ever since.

I interpreted this is a drop in the target snr from 6db downwards,  but this hasn't resulted in an increase in the actual data rate but  increased the snr of the upstream.  Just seems a bit odd, like its still locked.

cab makes a difference in that Huawei can get G.INP and ECI cannot at present - you are on Huawei

Re: Fault reported online (broadband speed), engineer booked. BT cancelled the appointment, faulty s

your noise margin is about normal so hopefully if line remains stable the G.INP will kick in with noise margin going to about 3db with a speed increase
