Fibre 500 - Speed

Hi, 

I've recently signed up for the BT Fibre 500 and all is working pretty much fine.

My only question to whoever is on the same contract: did you ever actually get even close to 500?

My max has been around 350, but usually I am not moving from the 280/300. Is this normal?

My setup is: Smarthub2 and BT whole home discs.

When I was on fibre 500 my download was about 506 and upload 80.

Are your speeds Wi-fi or with a cable plugged into the back of the smart hub?

If it’s over Wi-fi try a cable from the smart hub as a test to see what you get.

I have tested it on the ethernet and I get about 500/506 as speed which is great. 

I am left now to sort out my wifi speed, that is averaging at 300mb. 

Does anyone have any suggestion?

That’s probably not too bad to be honest when taking into account device limitations, interference etc. You might get a little more with a mesh network if you’re OK with the cost.
