Fibre activation times

Hi, Openreach attended site and blew the fibre through to our property and connected at the exchange on the 4th September after being in delay for weeks as it is a new development. I was told that the broadband service would activate today (7th) to then receive a text saying that the network was still not commissioned and activation was now scheduled for the 17th.

Is this right? I work from home and on video calls all day and I'm rinsing mobile data like no tomorrow! Thanks.
