Fibre cable fault Grangemouth 7.11.18

Why does it take 24 hours plus to pull in 150m of fibre cable and joint it when the excavation has been done within the first 4 hours of the reported damage.

Perhaps you should go and ask the workmen who are on site that question, they are the only ones who will be able to answer. Be aware you might not get a civil answer though.

Cable fault Grangemouth 7.11.2018.

Why has it taken over 24 hour to pull in 150m of fibre and joint it, after stating to the press by Openreach that the damage had been excavated within the first 4 hours of the damage. First notification 19.00 7 Nov as of 20.30 8 Nov still no broadband in the surrounding towns such as Bo'ness, Linlithgow and Grangemouth. Perhaps someone from Open field management might want to comment

You would have to ask Openreach that. Things are often more complicated than people appreciate.

This is only a BT Retail forum, and has nothing to do with Openreach. The same would apply to other providers.

Its Openreach that own and maintain the external network.

Thats fine but don't feed the press disinformation allow the customers expectations to be set. Nothing worse than the site being updated with constant extentions of the repair time. Just tell the truth.

This is a BT residential customer to customer forum. Your post does not go to BT. The only BT staff are the forum moderators who do not necessarily read all the posts.

Perhaps you should direct that comment to Openreach. This is a BT Community customer-customer support forum. Openreach have no presence here.

Re: Cable fault Grangemouth 7.11.2018.

Is Openreach part of the BT group of companies if not then why do we not see shares on the stock exchange for them. Does BT report financially on Openreach if so they can't wash their hands off them on a community blog. Unless I'm missing something
