Fibre is live but unavailable in our village...why?

Fibre bb is recorded as being live in our village but not connected..is this because nobody has ordered it, our bb speed is 0.6 but BT insist it is 2mbps (it's not).why won't they make fibre available...is it because nobody has ordered it??

Who has recorded fibre as being available?

Put your phone number in HERE and post a screenshot of the result. Remove your number before posting but leave the exchange and cab number intact.

You have removed the exchange and cabinet details, so its not going to be possible to tell, but based on what you have shown, your normal ADSL connection speed should be between 1 and 3.5Mbs.

If your connection speed is lower than that, then it could indicate a problem with your internal phone wiring, or the way you have things connected up.

Its Openreach, not BT Retail, that provide the fibre network.

Thanks, I guess it could be our internal wiring (our setup is fine) but BGT have told us that external wiring to our property is very old copper wiring...our phone line is also very crackly (BT advisor agreed it sounded bad!) and bb often cuts out when we use the phone.....still cannot understand why fibre is not available though...any ideas? I've tried calling OpenReach already but they only deal with BT and don't want to know...BT however keep telling me it's  down to OpenReach! 😕    broadband speed test   Google Search.png

The line should be quiet.

If you do not get dial tone, or there is noise on the line, then you need to report it as either no dial tone, or a noisy line. Do not mention the broadband problem, otherwise it will end up in the wrong fault queue, and take much longer to be fixed. There are plenty of people who can fix phone faults, but not as many broadband people.

Once the phone fault is fixed, then the broadband will get better.

Just remembered internal wiring is fine as BT fitted a new socket and checked it a couple of years ago (due to same problem)
