Full Fibre (FTTP) Third Party Router Setup

Afternoon Folks, I was considering upgrading from Fibre with Halo 1 to Full Fibre 100 with Halo 1. I’m currently using a Tp-Link TD-W9970 Modem/Router in place of the original SmartHub 1 supplied. Would I have to reconfigure the Tp-Link for FTTP or would the current configuration suffice? I have a feeling I might have to as my current broadband package is FTTC. Thanks, Nigel

You will need to reconfigure the Tp Link as a pure router rather than modem/router as the connection will be from the FTTP ONT to the WAN port of the Tp Link.
