I was checking my old flat on the DSL checker few weeks ago and saw it had gfast. I checked BT Broadband checker and EE and both were offering packages for gfast, I think they were offering 150mbps for the price of the package I’m paying right now in my new flat (75mbps fttc).
Recently I’ve been checking again because I’m curious and I’ve seen the packages offered by BT and EE are now missing, they’re offering max of 75mbps fttc and EE offering 300mbps 5G of course. Checking the dsl checker via address finder still shows it has gfast available so why is it missing on ISPs websites?
The address of the old house was Flat A, 35 The gfast availability is amber, is that why it’s missing?
Solved! Go to Solution.
G.Fast is engineer install only and at present Openreach engineers are not entering homes for installs. This will be reviewed on June 1st. The packages may re-appear then.
